P&P Group welcomes international restaurant chain KFC as a new tenant at the FLAiR Fürth Shopping Center

- One of the most internationally renowned brands in system gastronomy will enrich the FLAiR with its range in future

- Opening on the second floor on 250 square meters is expected in the first quarter of 2024

- Separate outside access enables opening hours independent of the center

Fürth, December 21, 2023 - The P&P Group, as owner and operator of the urban experience center FLAiR Fürth, has announced the conclusion of a lease agreement. KFC, one of the best-known international restaurant brands and represented in Germany since 1968, is taking over a store of around 250 square meters on the second floor, which was previously used by a restaurant. "The fact that the space could be occupied again by such a well-known company within a few weeks after moving out and that the opening is planned for the first quarter of 2024, shows the attractiveness of the location and the FLAiR concept," says Velimir Filipović, General Manager of FLAiR, who is responsible for the property in this position. It is almost fully let and there are constantly further inquiries.

"What is particularly pleasing is that the current change is certainly an upgrade from the point of view of most visitors," continues Filipović: "FLAiR will be even more attractive with such a well-known brand as KFC with more than 25,000 restaurants worldwide." A separate outside entrance to the premises of the fast-food giant specializing in chicken ensures correspondingly longer opening hours in Fürth.

In addition to numerous restaurants, the FLAiR offers around 60 retail outlets and other interesting offers. The P&P Group took over the location in 2016, then built a completely new property by 2021 and developed it into a sought-after meeting place in Fürth's city center with a new concept. With great success: in 2023, the number of visitors to the FLAiR increased to around 275,000 per month. This represents an increase of almost 23% compared to the previous year.

KFC will also benefit from the special energy efficiency concept at FLAiR Fürth after moving in at the beginning of 2024. Above all, this includes the combination of a combined heat and power unit with three state-of-the-art chillers including heat recovery. This approach has enabled energy costs to be halved this year compared to 2022. Thanks to its environmentally friendly design, the experience center property is also BREEAM-certified by TÜV Süd, with the top sustainability rating of "Excellent".
