Fürth, January 16, 2024 - The FLAiR Fürth amusement center is looking back on a successful 2023, thanks to record visitor numbers and contracts with new tenants. The P&P Group, the owner and operator, calculated a 14.7% increase in the number of FLAiR visitors for 2023. Last year, around 3.3 million people strolled through the experience center, shopped, went out to eat or took advantage of one of the other leisure activities. "An extremely positive development," says Velimir Filipović, General Manager of FLAiR: "The increase significantly exceeded our expectations. The development in the last quarter in particular was extremely pleasing." For example, the figures for Christmas 2023: In December, the monthly peak from 2022 was increased once again to over 330,000 visitors. On the third Saturday of Advent, traditionally the busiest day of the Christmas season, there was even an increase of 14.3% to more than 21,000 visitors. "These December figures are easily comparable with the previous year and indicate a sustained upward trend," says Filipović: "Especially as the trend was confirmed on the last few days of the year."
The General Manager of FLAiR expects the positive development to continue, also due to new attractive offers in the center. At the beginning of this year, KFC, one of the best-known international restaurant brands, will take over a store of around 250 square meters on the second floor. "This will attract more customers and the other tenants will also benefit from this," predicts Filipović.
In addition to a wide range of restaurants, the almost fully let FLAiR offers around 60 retail outlets. In 2016, the P&P Group took over the weakening location, then built a completely new property at the site in the center of Fürth by 2021 and developed it into a sought-after meeting place in Fürth's city center with a new concept.
Renovation work is currently underway on the upper floors of the FLAiR so that travelers will be able to stay in 60 STAYERY brand serviced apartments from next year. On 3,000 square meters, units will combine the comfort of an individual apartment (including kitchenette) with public areas such as a launderette, lounge, food & beverage and
co-working areas and hotel-like services (apartment cleaning). The long-term lease agreement over 20 years also improves the center's profitability.
The special energy efficiency concept at FLAiR also attracted attention last year. The combination of a combined heat and power unit with three state-of-the-art chillers including heat recovery halved energy costs compared to the previous year. This makes the location even more attractive. Thanks to the environmentally friendly concept, the experience center property was also BREEAM certified by TÜV Süd, with the top sustainability rating of "Excellent".
