P&P DEVELOPS "KAISER CARREE" TO KFW 40 EE STANDARD WITH OVER 3,000 M² OF LIVING SPACE IN NUREMBERG
  • Investment defies drastic slump in construction activity
  • Ecological and future-oriented construction: Efficiency house according to KfW-40-EE standard with combined heat and power plant
  • 57 barrier-free one- to three-room apartments in the popular residential area of St. Leonhard
  • Start of construction: November 2022; completion: 2nd quarter 2024

Fürth, 3. March 2023 - The real estate investor and developer P&P Group is realizing a barrier-free and energy-efficient residential project in an attractive residential location in the southwest of Nuremberg: The six-story "Kaiser Carree" project development will comprise 57 modern one- to three-bedroom apartments with more than 3,000 square meters of total living space. The location in the St. Leonhard residential district of Schweinau is one of the most popular residential areas in the Franconian metropolis. Construction work on the site on Kunigundenstrasse began as early as November 2022 - completion of the property is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024.

"At the moment, we are experiencing a drastic slump in construction activity on the housing market. The housing deficit in Germany has reached its highest level in 20 years. Nevertheless, we are convinced that now is precisely the right time to implement residential projects with equity on a stable basis - even without a buyer already in place. Because those who build now will have a unique and sought-after product in a few years and will make an important contribution to the creation of urgently needed living space," says Michael Peter, CEO of P&P Group.

The "Kaiser Carree" will be completely barrier-free and thus suitable for residents of all ages and stages of life. All residential units will have a terrace or balcony, floor-to-ceiling windows and underfloor heating. There are also plans for an underground garage with 38 parking spaces, pre-fitting for e-charging stations and 82 bicycle parking spaces.

Sustainable project development in KfW-40-EE standard

In the new building project, which meets the KfW 40 EE standard, the P&P Group consistently focuses on energy efficiency and strict sustainability criteria. The primary energy requirement will amount to only 40 percent of the requirement of a conventional new building. A combined heat and power plant using wood pellets will be used as the primary energy source. Furthermore, the roof of the building will be greened and generous outdoor facilities and play areas for young and old will be created.
